MultiTech Introduces Conduit 300 Series Gateway
The new Conduit® 300 Series gateway for industrial IoT addresses key industry needs including security features enabling upstream and downstream hardware and software integrations; compute features simplifying applications management and cloud integrations; and physical packaging to meet industrial requirements. The latest addition to its award-winning Conduit family is aimed at industrial automation and control, utility/energy/oil and gas, and other industry communication infrastructure applications.
“Secure processing at the edge introduces incredible benefits including lower latency, bandwidth savings, and increased privacy and autonomy,” said Duane Wald, VP of Offering Management at MultiTech. “Deploying computing at the edge has always raised concerns mainly due to its complexity and cyber-security implications. The Docker container architecture and new security features within the new Conduit 300 Series gateway makes running micro-services at the edge simpler as all of it takes place within a trusted container abstracted from the embedded Linux world and virtualized from the cloud. This IoT gateway is a game changer for organizations looking to leverage the benefits of edge computing.”
